As an artist, it is my habit to express with my paints and canvas. It is not natural for me to convey thoughts through words, but I have made a commitment this year to do so. This blog will be my instrument to draw a parallel between the art I create, the inspirations, and the thought process in completing my art.
I am an artist. That phrase has been with me since I was a child. Artists do not have the luxury of shedding a career when the economy turns bad, or when boredom sets in. It is a vocation that is ingrained within every fiber of our being. It is an obsession that refuses to be ignored. Despite what we must do in life to meet responsibilities, the muse sits forever on our shoulder, whispering in our ear, reminding us of whom and what we are. We find our satisfaction, our harmony, when we slide the brush across the canvas. Our greatest confrontations are found at that easel… as well as our greatest contentment.
